High quality, high welfare produce in harmony with nature.

Manor Farm, Broad Chalke is situated in the heart of the Cranborne Chase
and West Wiltshire Down Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and extends
across 300 acres of the beautiful and ancient landscape of the Chalke Valley.

The farm is family run, as a traditional mixed farm with arable crops grown on the tops of the downs while our organic sheep flock grazes the steep coombes, valley floors and permanent pasture. The farm is enhanced with wildlife friendly headlands, bird food and nesting plots to provide a mosaic of habitats to encourage wildlife and allow species to travel across the farm valley floors and permanent pasture.

We employ an extensive grazing system to maintain the natural wildlife diversity. We run 200 breeding ewes and their lambs over 200 acres of permanent pasture and SSSI Chalk Downland,  this extensive system allows us to rear high quality lamb, hogget and mutton on grass and herbs alone. With low numbers we are also able to maintain superior flock welfare while minimising use of medicines such as wormers and antibiotics.

We are a family business, passionate
about producing high quality,
high welfare, healthy food in harmony
with nature.

Katie & Richard have a beautiful farm producing outstanding, grass-fed lamb just down the road from our restaurant.  I love being able to work with such great produce and to carry on the passion that Katie and Richard have for their animals.  They take great pride and care in the treatment and welfare of their sheep and this shows through in the quality of the meat.

Manor Farm Organics has proven to be a great source of consistently high quality lamb for our restaurant and we are very happy to be able to support each other as local businesses. (The Forester Donhead St Andrew)

We were lucky enough to enjoy a whole lamb over the summer and early autumn. It was so good that it didn’t last long! Cut really well and packaged beautifully. Very easy just to pop straight in the freezer. Utterly delicious flavour and not a huge amount of surplus fat.

We loved every cut on offer, so much so that we couldn’t pick a favourite, but if we had to it would be cutlets, shoulders, legs, neck fillet and the mince!

I’ve stocked my freezer with Richard and Katie’s delicious lamb over a few years now since living in the Chalke Valley. It is always SUCH a treat to be able to cook meals for family and friends using such good quality, flavoursome meat in the form of various joints and cuts available. To be able to eat organic, grass fed lamb, reared on very local farmland is what ‘life is all about’ – sustainable living is just so important. The meat comes straight from a brilliantly professional local abattoir to our table. The meat is packaged and labelled really well which makes such a difference.
