Shopping, delivery & packaging

All our lamb and hogget is 100% grass fed and grows slowly on the downs for 6 to 12 months, producing tender meat with a wonderful depth of flavour. Availability is largely dependant on the season as this dictates the rate of grass growth and its nutritional value. By vacuum packing and freezing the meat as soon as it arrives from the butcher, we are able to offer most of the following cuts through out the year.

High performing, fully recyclable and fully sustainable

Packaging – we practice what we preach

At the heart of our business is a keen passion for all things environmental. Just as we rear organic lamb, so we look to our packaging suppliers for a fully recyclable and fully sustainable solution for getting your lamb direct to your doorstep.

To keep your lamb fully insulated during transit, we are using ‘Wool Cool’ which is a thermal insulator made of sheep’s wool. Wool is one of nature’s most amazing ‘smart fibres’, with a complex structure and natural properties that cope with extremes of cold and heat.

This thermal insulation then sits inside a doublewall corrugated box, which not only ensures your lamb arrives undamaged following transit, but can also be put into the household recycling bin after you have unpacked your lamb products and popped them in the fridge or freezer. Once your local recycling collection takes place, the used corrugated box is sent back to a UK-based paper mill, where it is pulped and made back into paper within 14 days, ready to be turned into another box – how cool is that?!
